OUR STORY
Sanoli Delights began in 2019 through the encouragement of a Culinary Institute of America chef who tasted Ivie’s flan at a small gathering of friends. This was the birth of Sanoli Delights. However, Ivie’s love for baking began years before this event. As a young child, she loved baking alongside her mother in their kitchen in Brazil. Twenty years ago, in the U.S., she perfected the recipe by combining baking techniques from Brazil, the Dominican Republic and the United States. Nothing compares to this unique take with its caramel topping. The creamy texture is so silky-smooth it melts in your mouth!
CLASSIC FLAN
Although flan is known as a Latin dessert, it is enjoyed all around the world. The first flan was born in Ancient Rome as a savory treat. The addition of honey created a sweet flan which became hugely popular across the Roman Empire. Flan was perfected in Spain where caramelized sugar was added to the recipe. Eventually the recipe traveled to the Americas where it became hugely popular in South America, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico and the United States. Ivie’s classic flan is light and smooth with a creamy, velvety texture and a delicious caramel topping.
